Cutting corners Baby, not everyone has 2 or 3 g's laying around to throw into the purchase of an LS2. That's why the LQ's are so popular. I don't care what a motor is made of, a 6.0 is a 6.0. 'nuf said. And compared to an SBC's, the 317 heads are a drastic improvement. I.E. it's bang for your buck my friend.

Now if budget were no issue, we'd see LS2's under every hood of every GM enthusiast out there. Shit I'd have one under my hood, they're a bad ass motor hands down.

And P.S. an LQ9 is a huuuuuge fuckin come up considering what Jr used to have under the hood, it's jus simple facts. Money and technology will ALWAYS be the #1 playing factors for how to make good, dependable power.

Wow we really gota work on your people skills Jas. I think what D Boy meant was pound for pound iron is stronger. Always has been, always will be. I don't think he wanted you to quote an internet web page for motor specs. You think they made the World Trade Center or Empire State buildings skeletal structures from aluminum?

He said that the LQ9 can take more abuse because it's made of iron. That is an ignorant (lack of knowledge) statement. I wasn't using ignorant as a derogatory term. My people skills are just fine, maybe you should work on your vocabulary. :P
